Beautiful beaches in Palma Nova

There is plenty to shout about when it comes to the beaches in Palma Nova, With three stretches of beach in total (Palma Nova is purpose-built around a trio of white sandy beaches) you’ll need to pack your costume, towels and bucket and spade. Playa de Palma Nova is the main beach and is located near the harbour in front of the pedestrian promenade. Ideal for families, the beach is manned by lifeguards and also provides loungers and parasols for rent. Son Maties is another one of Palma Nova’s beaches and boasts calmer waters, plenty of activities as well as bars and restaurants. The quietest beach on the island is Es Carregador, which is perfect for visitors who are seeking a more tranquil vibe.

Mini golf: For an afternoon of casual family fun, head to Palma Nova’s Golf Fantasia and let your golf skills shine. You can choose from three different tropical 18-hole mini-golf courses with varying levels of difficulty. Set in a beautiful garden just a stone’s throw away from the beach, you can tie in your golfing with a paddle in the sea. The course generally opens until late with a café serving up food and drink.

Western Waterpark: Struggle to cope in the midday heat? Head to the Western Waterpark to cool down! This family favourite is home to thrilling water rides and pools for everyone to enjoy. The kids will love the waterpark’s impressive number of slides, and the adults are sure to enjoy a cool-down in one of the pools. It’s a great day out and if you’re without a car, don’t worry, you can either catch a free bus from Magaluf or you can hop on one of the public buses from Palma.

Boat trips: Discover more of the south-western coastline and jump aboard a boat trip to enjoy everything this beautiful part of the world has to offer. How about a glass-bottom boat trip? This two-hour excursion will take you from Palma Nova to Magaluf, passing coves and secluded beaches. Head down to the lower deck to check out the marine life from the glass bottom! This tour also allows for swimming time to jump in and have a quick splash around.
