Beautiful beaches in Tulum

Things to do in Tulum

Dive into the cool waters of an underground cenote, soak up the sunshine from a lounger on the sand or head out to explore the ruins that can be found around the Tulum area. When it comes to filling an itinerary, you’ll have no problem finding things to do when visiting Tulum.

Take a look around Mayan ruins: If you venture to Mexico and don’t find yourself in the grounds of a Mayan ruin then you could be missing out! These incredible structures have stood for thousands of years and the ruins in Tulum have to be seen to be believed. The Temple of the Wind is a structure of note, situated on a cliff edge you can climb up to the temple to view it and the incredible spectacle of the sea and rocks below. El Castillo is perhaps the ruin Tulum is best known for. This magnificent castle stands proud amongst other ruins from an ancient Mayan city and you can take a walk around the area to see it from all angles.

Snorkel in a cenote: Pack a swim bag and make your way to the Gran Cenote, a wondrous underground cave featuring a stunning blue lake that you can swim in. It’s a great location to snorkel, with an abundance of fish and turtles to look out for under the water. Pack your swimsuit and some suncream and enjoy your time in this stunning part of the world.
